Goat Cheese Sugar Cookies

Yes. In cookies. Sounds crazy, tastes amazing.

I am, without a doubt, a goat cheese lover. If you are one of the people who are weird about goat cheese, I do not get you. But you probably don’t get me, seeing as I’m not a huge fan of chocolate. We all have our idiosyncrasies, I suppose.

Another idiosyncrasy of mine – if you’ve been reading this blog for, say, more than a second, you’ll know I don’t really have a sweet tooth. Neither does My Other Half. We almost never have dessert at our house, or when we’re out to dinner. It’s just not our thing.

BUT when you put delicious cheese in a cookie… well, that’s enough to convince me.

Particularly when there’s this much COLOUR! Gosh I love colour. Especially neon. I want neon everything, especially when it comes to clothes, although I realize I probably resemble a highlighter or pylon or ‘90s nightmare.

In all seriousness, it’s hard to take anyone wearing neon too seriously.

Goat Cheese Cookies

Goat Cheese Sugar Cookies with Sprinkles!

Yield: 36


  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 oz goat cheese
  • 6 tbsps butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsps milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles! (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk together fry ingredients. In another bowl, mix sugar, goat cheese, and melted butter and until smooth. Add oil, egg, milk, and vanilla and stir. Gradually stir in flour. Roll dough into 1 tbsp balls and coat in sprinkles (if using). Arrange on baking sheet. Bake for 14 minutes, until cookies flatten and begin to crack. Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.
