This year I am so incredibly fortunate to be heading home to Halifax for Thanksgiving! My mother is also throwing me my second wedding shower, so it’s an extra-special trip.
Last year, I made Thanksgiving dinner for my cousin and her then fiancé, his mother, and my aunt and uncle who were visiting from Halifax. It was a gorgeous fall weekend and I was so excited to host a big holiday meal. It was also nerve-wracking as I was cooking for one of the most talented culinarians I know – my Uncle Bob!
Thankfully the heat is off me this year, as he’s the one cooking and hosting Thanksgiving dinner for more than a dozen of our family members. Without fail, his meals go above and beyond all expectations. I absolutely cannot wait to see what he puts together this year!
Maybe you’re making Thanksgiving dinner for the first time this weekend, or maybe you’re looking to change things up a bit… but these are my go-to Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter dishes that are sure to please. Enjoy!
